Currently the Hard Cider comes in three levels of sweetness - Sweet, Dry and Ex-Dry. If you are familiar with and enjoy European Ciders, you will probably want to stick with the dry or extra dry. If you want a sweeter experience with more aromatics of apple you will most likely enjoy the sweet more.
Generally any food you would enjoy with white wine will also be enhanced by the hard cider - pork, chicken, fish and vegetables. Asian and spicy foods also benefit from a bottle of hard cider. Experiment with hard cider in your cooking, too, and for your cook while he or she is cooking! Offer Cougar Gold cheese and hard cider to guests as an hors d'oeuvre.
